Double Challenge

IMG_3653[1]I just absolutely love the monochromatic color scheme for the Colour Me! Color Challenge of Pistachio Pudding.  Now the challenge allows you to use any Neutral or Skin Tone color along with Pistachio Pudding but I really wanted to use just Pistachio Pudding & White.  Our DSP Paper Stacks in the 2013-2015 In Colors has several patterns of DSP  and I knew I could combine several patterns and solid cardstock to create a pleasing end result.

Colour Me....! color challengeNow for the layout part, hmm.  Well, the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge provided that!  When I first saw this sketch I knew I wanted to use the Polaroid picture framelit from the On Film Framelits dies set #132969 for the layer that was offset.  For the sentiment I chose Sending Good Thoughts Your Way from the Perfect Pennants stamp set 133230.  I used the arrows framelits, also from the On Film Framelits dies , to crop out some Pistachio Pudding DSP.   A Pistachio Pudding sequin  & stretch ruffle ribbon (now retired) provided the finishing touches.

This card is headed down south to a Paper Crafting friend who is recuperating from surgery.  I hope the soft colors will help convey my wishes for a complete recovery during her post-surgery rehab!

IMG_3653Please tell me what you think of my card and how I used a color challenge and sketch challenge to create it!  Do you like the way the embossed card stock & different patterns of DSP work together to create a pleasing coordinated look?  Thanks for your comments.  I love to hear from you.

  1. I love your use of this sketch with a Pistachio Pudding card because it allowed you to add the sweet, ruffled ribbon along the edge – cute!! Thank you for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches!

  2. Nancy, I got the card today in the mail. What a pleasant surprise! I have always loved Pistachio Pudding, the color and the dessert. Many thanks for thinking of me as I recover from surgery. I’m making progress!
