I Miss Your Face

I’ve always said that Stampin’ UP! is on the cutting edge and always on trend. I wonder if many months ago, when the designers at Stampin’ UP! were designing stamp sets for the 2020 Sale-A-Bration promotion, if anyone was thinking about Social Distancing and Shelter in Place. Yet, this sentiment, I Miss Your Face, is perfect for the times we are in right now!

Because of Social Distancing and the orders in my state to shelter in place, I couldn’t have my regular monthly Wine Down Wednesday class. But I didn’t have to cancel my class! Thanks to Facebook Live, I was able to still have my class, and to invite all of you! You can watch that Wine Down Wednesday – Social Distance Style! Class right on my Facebook page. (You may need to scroll down to find the Wine Down Wednesday – Social Distancing Style Live video from March 25th)

Here’s my project:

I Miss Your Face from the Tags in Bloom stamp set, free with a qualifying purchase during Sale-A-Bration

The project I designed used the stamp set, Tags in Bloom, free with a qualifying purchase during Sale-A-Bration, and the sentiment “I Miss Your Face” from this stamp set. But, because I wanted everyone who was watching from home, to be able to stamp along with me, I also designed the card so that it can be made with the supplies you already have at home.

I love that Stampin’ Up’s color coordination, and product coordination make it so easy to create projects that come together so easily! This project uses Pineapple Punch cardstock, ink and ribbon and just some Whisper White and Basic Black cardstock and Black Memento Ink. As a matter of fact, you can make this with any color of cardstock with coordinating ink and ribbon. I made several cards using all of the colors from the 2018-2020 In Color Collection.

2018-2020 In Colors make a rainbow of cards using the Tags in Bloom stamp set and I Miss Your Face sentiment

Doesn’t that look so pretty? A rainbow of colors using the 2018-2020 In Color collection. From left to right, I used Blueberry Bushel, Call Me Clover, Pineapple Punch, Grapefruit Grove and Lovely Lipstick. All of these colors are set to retire when the annual catalog ends May 31st. If you want any of these colors cardstock, ink or accessories, I suggest you get them now! Historically, the retiring In Colors sell out. So stock up while you still can. And if you order them before March 31st, your purchases will help you qualify for Free Sale-A-Bration rewards! (Like the Tags in Bloom stamp set!). Click here to shop my online store now.

In my Facebook Live Class, I’ll show you how to make the patterned background using any small flower or geometric stamp you already have. And by using any big, bold sentiment and a coordinating punch of any shape, you can recreate this card. It uses just one color of cardstock, ink and ribbon, plus Black and White.

I hope that you will watch my video class (and while you’re there, make sure to LIKE my Facebook page) and use that pattern to make a card of your own. I made almost 2 dozen cards to mail out this weekend, to all the folks I miss right now! If you make a card using this pattern, please let me know! I love when you get inspiration from my blog posts. Leave a comment, or share a photo on my Facebook page.

Here’s another look at my card before you leave:

And here’s another link to my Online Store so you can shop before saying goodbye. SHOP NOW! Remember you’ll earn a Free Sale-A-Bration reward for every qualifying order, $50 or $100 before tax and shipping when you shop by March 31st.

Stay safe, stay healthy, and stay 6′ away from others. And be thankful that we have a hobby to keep us busy at home as we shelter in place. And get those cards in the mail to the folks who could use some cheer!

I miss your face but hope to see you watching my class on my Facebook page!

Spread the love!
