New Catalog Sneak Peeks

There are so many exciting new products in the soon-to-be-released 2013/2014 annual catalog but I can’t share them with you, yet!  (Even though it’s so hard for me to keep a secret!)  But there are a few items that I can share, so here goes:

Wood Mount Cases:

When Stampin’ Up! introduced their clear-mount stamps, one of the biggest selling points for me was the packaging.  I LOVE the way the dvd-style cases are all uniform in size, with full size images on the cover of each stamp, and a thumbnail image of each image/sentiment & stamp set name on the spine.  Makes organization a breeze, love it!
Well beginning May 31st, all of our wood-mount stamps will be available in the same size and style of cases.  (Empty cases will be available for you to convert your older stamp sets into the new case style).  Watch the video below to see all the juicy goodness of the new wood mount case.

Another new product that is available NOW is a kit called Bloomin’ Bouquet:   Watch the video below to find out everything you need to know about this product line.

This kit is only available while supplies last so if you love it, grab it now.  Think about getting a few; this kit makes a great gift, both assembled and unassembled. You may want to give it as a fun do-at-home project, for your crafty friends or co-workers or any crafty kids that you know, or create and give the bouquet to someone who needs a pick me up.

Blooming Bouquet Item #134542    $12.95.   Available starting April 29, while supplies last.

Kit contents:

  • 2 sheets of preprinted and precut flowers on 12″ X 12″ cardstock; makes 13 flowers using Pool Party, Gumball Green, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, and Rich Razzleberry
  • 13 Vintage Faceted Buttons
  • 13 green floral wire stems

Adhesive not included. (Glue gun recommended.)

Click on the link above to order yours today!

So tell me what you think of these two new sneak peeks!  Are you anxiously waiting for your new catalog to arrive?  Please leave me a comment; I love hearing from you.

My pre-order is scheduled to be delivered to me on Wednesday.  Count on seeing some more sneak peaks using new stamps, papers and colors.  Stop back into My Stampin’ Space – for sneak peeks and for some more farewells to retiring products.

Until then,

Happy Stampin’

Nancy

Farewell, Best Dad Ever

Dad's father's day card 2012Today’s post is a tribute to another retiring stamp set, Best Dad Ever.

I made this for my father-in-law for Father’s Day last year; little did I know that it would be his last Father’s Day with us.  I loved the traditional tie with the tie-tack look.  It so personified my FIL-a preacher who wore a suit & tie with a tie tack every Sunday.  I chose to use Basic Gray and Not Quite Navy for my color combo.  Not Quite Navy is another color that will be retiring soon.  I really love that color but Island Indigo is a color that we are getting to keep so I’m ok with that trade off.  I still have a stash of this color so I’m ok!

Best Dad Ever - Clear-Mount Stamp Set - by Stampin' Up! This stamp set features 5 neckties is various patterns in a row; it’s so easy to isolate just one, or two, or three ties using our Stampin’ Write markers. Four sentiments allows you to use this stamp set to create a masculine card any time of year.

I always think a good, masculine stamp set is a great investment and this certainly is top of my list of masculine stamp sets.  Find this and all other Retired Stamps  here.  Retiring Accessories. can be found here.  You can order retiring stamps up until June 3rd.  Retiring Accessories are only available while supplies last so don’t hesitate if you want something.  Stock up on your favorite colors, papers, & ribbons now.  Head over to my on-line store and start shopping now.

Thanks for stopping by My Stampin’ Space; I love your company and hope that you find inspiration while you’re here.  If you enjoy my blog, please sign up for my newsletter and/or subscribe to my Feedburner feed; you’ll see those links on the right.  Tell your friends to come over & hang out at My Stampin’ Space too – the more the merrier.  See you tomorrow for another farewell tribute.

Farewell Button, Button!

Well, with the Retired Stamps posted, I thought it was only appropriate to post some photos of my favorite projects using soon-to-be retired stamps.  Button, Button

Button, Button (#122026-wood; # 122040 clear).  This stamp set was actually one that was never on my wish list; I won the stamp set through  meeting a sales goal.  Once I got it, I used it so much – far more than I ever thought I would.  It is such a simple, versatile set that could be used for any occasion.  I am going to miss this set in the new catalog.

Button, Button Stamp Set - by Stampin' Up!With 17 images in one stamp set, it’s easy to find just the perfect shaped & sized button to, well, button up your project!

I chose to make this card using Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery and Bashful Blue ink- all colors that are now retiring due to the Color Refresh announced 2 weeks ago.  A few designer buttons, alongside a few stamped images, punched and propped up on dimensionals are all this card needs.  Any sentiment can be used to make this card an all-occasion card.

If you like these stamps too, but they’ve never made it from your wish list to your order list, now is your last chance to get them.  Stampin’ Up! will continue to manufacture stamp sets to fill orders thru June 3rd, but after that, they will be gone for good.  Retiring Accessories. will only be on a ‘while supplies last’ basis so if there is an item(s) on the retired accessory list, get it now.  Many items in the retiring colors are already sold out.

Head over to my store and start shopping now.  Don’t be disappointed.

Tell your friends to like me on facebook too.  I’m hoping to reach 100 fans and need your help.  Thanks, see you tomorrow with another farewell tribute!

The most exciting time of the year is almost here!!!

When Stampin’ Up! rolls out their annual catalog, there are always so many new and exciting products that it is one of the most highly anticipated times of the year.  This happens June 1st of every year.  But this year,  we get our catalogs a day early!  That’s right.  The new annual 2013-2014 catalog will be released May 31st.

Stampin’ Up! has already teased us with a taste of what’s to come by showing us the Color Refresh, and their decision to bring back a few favorite colors from past years, and the introduction of a soft gray shade: Smoky Slate.

As always, in order to make room for the new, some older items will be retired.  Stampin’ UP! will release the Retired Item List on April 24th so you will have time to get those items that you want before they are gone for good. The Retired Item Promotion will run thru June 3rd, but items on a retired list are while supplies last and there are no guarantees.  (Since the Color Refresh announcement, several colors of retiring card stock have already sold out!)

As a demonstrator, I get to order select new product beginning on April 24th.  (That’s my favorite perk!)  I already have my list started; I’ve seen, and fell in love with the new In-Colors that will be introduced with this catalog as well as a few sneak peeks of stamps, tools, paper, and let’s such say “EXCITED” doesn’t quite cover it!   Card stock, ink pads, makers, and ribbon in the 5 new in colors and Smoky Slate will be first on my order.  Getting a discount on my orders helps me stretch my stampin’ dollars farther; getting more items for less money (my 2nd favorite perk of being a demonstrator!).

Would you like to receive the perks of being a demonstrator?  Get new product sneak peeks, a discount on your order, chance to earn free products, receive exclusive paper crafting training across several mediums, meet new friends, and be connected to a virtual community of fellow stampers?   You can join Stampin’ Up!  – signing up now will entitle you to all the perks & benefits now thru Oct. 31st without an obligation to sell the product or hold workshops if you don’t want to, and no penalty to leave.  If you choose to continue to stay on, you can decide to be a ‘hobby’ or ‘business’ demonstrator by sharing as much or little of Stampin’ Up! as you feel comfortable.

Right now, you join for only $99 (plus tax) and receive $155 worth of any current products you choose.  We even pay the shipping for you!  Click here if you are ready to take the plunge into the Stampin’ Up! family.  You’ll never regret all the money you’ll save and the friends you’ll make.  Joining now will entitle you to get the sneak peak into the new annual catalog as well as the Holiday catalog – even if you decide not to stay on.

Baltimore or Bust

Oh my goodness!  I had SUCH A GOOD TIME at the Baltimore Regional Stampin’ Up! event on  Saturday I’m still on a high.  The makes & takes, the WOW demos, the Prize Patrol, the swaps.  It was all good!

I’ve posted some pics on my Facebook page (had trouble posting from the convention center but all the pics are up now) so “LIKE” me on Facebook if you haven’t already.

I’ll be posting pics of the swaps  in the coming days AND I’ll be teaching some of the new techniques I learned during the event.  Why don’t you join me, I have a class scheduled April 25th so if you are nearby, join me.  Or host a workshop of your own.

Our new annual catalog goes live May 31, 2013.  I can’t share with you (yet) all the new products that will be introduced in the new catalog but I can tell you, you won’t want to miss it!  So book a party with now beginning May 31st and be the first one on your block to host a Stampin’ Up! new catalog party!  You’re friends will be green with envy!

I can share the new Color Refresh with you now.  Stock up on your favorite retiring colors before they are gone. Colors that have been announced as retiring will only be available while supplies last.  And Not Quite Navy cardstock has already sold out!

Well off to bed for me; to dream of new colors!  They are dreamy!

Baltimore, baby!

If you are seeing this post on Saturday, then I am in Baltimore, MD at my first ever Stampin’ Up! corporate event!  I’m so excited to be going.

One of the things people do at these events is swaps.  So I made the following card for my swap.  I made this as a tribute too, to some colors that will be moving out of the way to make room for newer colors to return.    thank you with rolled roses

The background is a layer of Bashful Blue cardstock with a layer of Whisper White which was stamped in Bashful Blue with the En Francis background stamp.  An oval of Basic Gray provided a good contrast to hold the Bashful Blue shape which was stamped in Basic Gray with a sentiment from Perfectly Penned.

The leaves are actually punched out from Certainly Celery using the build-a-bird punch.  The Pretty in Pink flowers started life as a scallop circle punch and after some cutting, rolling & gluing, were transformed into these roses.

An assembly of line was formed to create the multiple cards needed for the card swap.  My dear hubby helped by doing all the punching for me!

As you can see, alot of scallop circles needed to be punched out!  Thanks, hubby!

stack o' scallops     lots of flowers

You can see the stack o’ scallops and the roses all finished.  I love the color combo of Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery and Pretty in Pink.  Since these 3 colors will be retiring, this card is also a tribute to the colors.

rolled roses

What do think of this: do you like my swap card?  Please leave me a comment and let me know.  Thanks!

And stay tuned to my facebook page all day as I’ll be keeping you posted with all the goings on at Stampin’ Up! Convention!  www.facebook.com/mystampinspace

Butterfly Birthday

Here’s a quick and simple card that is short on time to make, but big on style!  butterfly birthday
A simple white on white background with just a bit of texture is the perfect backdrop for all this color!
The butterflies were a cinch to make; just a quick trip thru the Big Shot machine with the butterfly embosslits.  I layered a smaller butterfly on top of a larger one for added interest.  The line-up features Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, Lucky Limeade & Crushed Curry butterflies each accented with a Basic Pearl Jewel.

Did you notice I used 2 retired colors?  Well, they will be coming out of retirement when the new annual catalog is released this Spring.  Yes, Bermuda Bay & Crushed Curry will be making a comeback.  See my post for the color refresh just announced to see which of your favorite colors will be returning, and to see which colors will go into retirement.

Hang On To Your Hats!

I am SO EXCITED to share with you some exciting news hot off the press from Stampin’ Up!  In 2010 Stampin’ Up! totally revamped their color collections and announced at that time that we would ‘tweak’ their color families every 3-5 years to keep the colors fresh and trendy.  This would be in addition to the In Color collections introduced each year.

Well, I’m happy to announce that a new Color Refresh has just been released.  This includes bringing back, or keeping, several In Colors as well as the introduction of a never before seen color, Smoky Slate!   I’m in love with Smoky Slate – we’ve needed a soft shade of light gray and this just fits the bill.  And I’m thrilled that some of my favorite InColors will be hanging around:  I couldn’t stand the thought of losing Pool Party, or Calypso Coral  Island Indigo.  And while I’m sorry that Lucky Limeade didn’t make the list, Pear Pizzazz is coming back, along with Bermuda Bay & Crushed Curry.  In order to make room for these new colors to stick around, something had to give.  The chart below details which colors are moving out of the way to make room for the new:

Now if you are dreaming of colors, and wanting to stock up on your favorite colors before they are gone, Stampin’ Up! is giving you the chance to order your favorite colors (cardstock, ink, ribbon, etc.) and anything you so desire with FREE SHIPPING THIS WEEKEND!

Happy Birthday, Susan!

Today is my sister’s birthday, and no I won’t tell you how old she is, except to say she is older than me (and always will be!).  Her favorite color is red, always has been, and she have loved clothes ever since we were young.  So I thought it was only fitting to create her a birthday card that was all dressed up in red.

All Dressed Up!

A red polka dress; it was created in flash!  One piece of Summer Smooches DSP # 125409 and one trip through the Big Shot die-cutting & embossing machine with the Dress Up Framelits die # 130101 and my dress was done.  A belt of Whisper White card stock, and a flower punched from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack # 118309 fastened with a 1/8″ mini brad # 122941 was all the embellishing this dress needed.  The sentiment was taken from the Create A Cupcake stamp set # 121982.  The stark Real Red and Whisper White color combo creates such a striking contrast that I left things simple and let the bold colors make the statement for me.

Digital Scrapbooking – More For Less!

I absolutely LOVE our My Digital Studio Software for digital scrapbooks, digital design and party planning.  And I have to admit, that I feel that I’ve barely scratched the surface – the design possibilities are seemingly endless.  When Stampin’ Up! introduced a major overhaul to their software last July, I figured I would have to take the plunge into the digital scrap-booking & digital design world, even though I wasn’t sure if I would enjoy it or not.  Well, I’ve never been sorry, except that I didn’t do it sooner!

Big News!If this amazing software alone isn’t enough to shout about, Stampin’ Up! has just announced that they’ve LOWERED the price of the MDS+ software from $79.95 to $19.95!  That is not a typo!  So for just under twenty bucks, you can have the leading digital scrapbooking software available.

So take the plunge!  Enter the digital world.  You probably have a pile of pics just sitting on your computer, or phone (the digital equivalent of a shoebox of photos!) – yes, I know you do.  And you know you have all those photos too!  So now, you can do something beautiful and creative with all those photos.  And easy.  So go ahead, climb up onto the high dive – CLICK HERE to go to my online store and order the software.   Still hesitant?  Prefer to just stick you toes in and test the water?  CLICK HERE to download a FREE 30-day trial version.  There’s nothing to lose.

But either way, join the masses and start your digital scrapbooking journey today.  You’ll be glad you did.

And don’t keep this good news to yourself.  Who do you know who takes lots of digital pics? Maybe a new mom?  A newlywed?  A bride to be?  A soccer mom? (or football, or softball, etc.)  The couple who travels alot?  All of these people probably take lots of pictures – show them how they can start scrapbooking with the best software, now at the best price available.

Sometimes I just don’t play well with others!

Well, this past Thursday was another Pals Paper Arts challenge.  Being a Pal, I have privvy to the sketch & color challenges so give me time to get my entry ready to go.

So I took a look at the color challenge real quick the week before and spent a couple days mulling over the colors in my mind trying to think of what I could make with those colors.  “Rich Razzleberry, Calypso Coral & Crumb Cake weren’t necessary colors I’d put together on my own, so this could be, well, a challenge”,  I thought.  That’s why they call it a Color Challenge!  So I went into My Stampin’ Space, pulled out these colors, and my new “Oh Hello” stamp set and went to work. PPA154

I was so proud of the way this card turned out, all I could say was “Thanks, Pals for putting together  color combo I never would have used on my own.”  Then I proceeded to get my blog post ready to go so I could go live Thursday morning and realized:

Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge # 154

It was supposed to be Raspberry Ripple; not Rich Razzleberry!  DUH!!!  Really?  I had the wrong color combo!  I was so upset with myself that I cancelled my plans to post that card and go back to the drawing board.

Now I could have just recreated that card with the correct color, but the more I looked it, the more I liked it!  So I decided, right or wrong, I was going with my original card.    So this morning I woke up and decided I would post that card anyway.

Please leave me a comment and let me know how YOU like my card!  If you’d like to know how I made this, just ask and I’ll be happy to tell you.  Don’t forget that you can order this “Oh Hello” stamp set, or any other products from my secure online store just by clicking here.  Thanks for stopping by My Stampin’ Space!  Come back again, and Happy Stampin’
